A brief overview of the individuals that form the backbone of Shikhar is mentioned below who constitute executive body :

Dr. Shailendra P Singh has always contributed towards the programmes of leadership and entrepreneurship development among students and has also worked for communal harmony. He has been teaching Literature and Business Communication for over one and half decade in various colleges and universities.

Mr. Scott Norling is a social entrepreneur, visionary and thinker based in Hyderabad in India. He is the promoter and Managing Director of Progressive Media Vision, an export company specialising in Media communication.

Mr. Montgomery Sen has more than 10 years of experience in investment banking sector. He has worked with multinational companies like Morgan & Stanley, Standard Charted and ABN Amro Bank, etc. Currently he is currently working with Opportunity International- Australia, in the roll out of their India operations.

Dr. Shantanu Dutta is currently the National Director for VIVA International, an international organisation working on issues related to Children at Risk. He is a doctor by training and a development professional by vocation. He is known for his bold decision making and out of box thinking with over two decades of experience form varied field to address the issue of poverty.

Mr. Ernest Paul M is the founder Secretary and CEO of Saadhana has more than 16 years experience and exposure in both commercial and development sectors in which the last 14 years exclusively in Micro Finance.

Maj. Dr. Mallika Chidambaram has been in the medical profession for 20 years, she also served the Indian Army through short service commission and worked in various capacities finally retiring as the Officer in charge of female ward Military Hospital Chennai. She is a member of various professional bodies like IMA, EMFI and Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society of South India. She has year of experience of community health and currently she is a consultant for Integrated HIV & Aids disease care Department of World Vision.

Mr. Cherian Thomas has over 20 years' experience in banking and financial services, spanning various functional areas. He is currently heading Advisory Services at Infrastructure Development Finance Company Ltd. (IDFC), he is also a member of IDFC's Management Committee.

Mr. Satyavir Chakrapani having experience of more than 12 years with development sector and microfinance initiatives has been a part of various taskforce on policy and guidelines reviews. He has been consultant with various e-governance projects and ICT initiatives. Currently he is heading Shikhar as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
